Ductless mini splits

Small line set, big difference.

A mini split pairs an outdoor unit with one or more indoor heads, connected by a small line set through a hole about three inches across. Each head has its own thermostat, so the bedroom, the bonus room and the shop can all sit at different temperatures.

With no ducts there’s no duct loss, and with no ducts to run, installs in finished homes are quick and tidy.

How we do it

Installed for snow country.

We mount outdoor units on stands or brackets high enough to stay above drifting snow, route the condensate where it won’t freeze into a sheet of ice on your walkway, and cover the line set so the job looks finished.

Inside, heads go where they can throw air across the room, never tucked in a corner where they fight the furniture.

Questions

What people ask about mini splits.

Still not sure? Call (989) 305-5490 and ask. We’re open 24 hours.

Can a mini split heat my whole cabin?

Often, yes, depending on the size, the insulation and how cold it gets. Many people keep a second heat source for the deepest cold. We size it with you.

How many indoor heads can one outdoor unit run?

Multi-zone outdoor units can run several heads. The right number depends on the rooms and their loads, and sometimes two single-zone systems make more sense.

Do you repair mini splits too?

Yes. We troubleshoot error codes, drain problems, sensors and refrigerant leaks on ductless systems.
